IKEA Kitchen2.jpeg

An 'Inspiration Kitchen' on Ikea’s website. All the major components are from Ikea: cabinets, apron sink and faucet, island and overhead rack, ceramic cooktop and exhaust hood.

I’ve shopped at Ikea since 1986, when the huge Swedish retailer opened its first U.S. store in Virginia. That store is still one of the state’s top tourist destinations. Now my Ikea is in Tempe, Arizona, 420 miles from El Paso. Inside you’ll find five football fields of colorful design, contemporary furniture and creative environments at very affordable prices.

Soft-closing, glass-front drawers, like the ones Cindy Graff Cohen used in the makeover of her master closet.

An Ikea room design features its specialized task lighting on bookcases, over pieces of art, at the table and in a seating area. All the furniture is from Ikea.
