Bond 2016 is underway, and that means construction crews and cranes will be a normal sight at many of our campuses.
To help students and staff remain safe during construction, the El Paso Independent School District is sharing safety information with the public regarding work zones at schools.
Construction will occur on different areas of the campuses according to a phasing plan created by the general contractor and approved by school administration.
All areas that are under construction will be kept segregated from staff and students through adequate fencing and barriers and will show safety signage to ensure work areas are clearly noted.
During construction, parent drop-off zones and student evacuation plans may change according to the construction phase. All changes will be communicated to parents and students with ample time.
Parents and neighbors also will start to see construction vehicles and heavy machinery traveling in their area. EPISD will continue to work with neighborhood associations and City of El Paso officials to mitigate any impact of the construction project.
