El Paso Rose Garden
The El Paso Parks and Recreation Department has one of the 117 Rose Gardens in the country with a water fall, fish pond, and thousands of roses. The majestic Garden in central El Paso is open from March 1st to November 30th and is in partnership with Texas AgriLife and the Master Gardeners of El Paso. The venue can be rented for weddings. Information (915) 212-0092. The El Paso Rose Garden it is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is closed on city holidays.
The El Paso Parks and Recreation Department has a dedicated crew for park maintenance for the city’s 268 parks in the city. They also assist with the El Paso Rose Garden and sports ballfield maintenance and upkeep.
April Pools Day
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will host a Water Safety Presentation from 10:00 AM- 12:00 AM and a Golden Egg Hunt from 12:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Armijo Aquatic Center, 911 S. Ochoa St. and in coordination with the adjacent Armijo Recreation Center as well. The Easter Egg Hunt will be in the shallow depth area of the pool at the Aquatic Center. Free swimming will be available to participants in the Golden Egg Hunt from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Drowning Prevention Coalition will be on hand as well to discuss the importance of water safety. The event is free with specific time for each age category listed below.

Noon – 12:20 p.m. (Ages 4 and under)
12:20 p.m. – 12:40 p.m. (Ages 5-7)
12:40 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Ages 8-12)
Youth Easter Activities
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will host free Easter activities for children and teenagers under the age of 17 during Easter week from April 13-15 at all Recreation Centers. There will be lots of fun, along with fitness obstacles to get to the Easter eggs in different age groups.
Dia De Los Ninos/Dia De Los Libros
The El Paso Parks and Recreation Department and the El Paso Public Libray will host the 21st annual Dia De Los Ninos/Dia De Los Libros on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Washington Park, 200 Washington Dr. the event is free and open to the public with each child in attendance (ages 17 and under) reciving a brand new book. There will be entertainment, interactive booths, and a variety of other vendors promoting a kid-friendly atmosphere.
