Project Amistad, a not for profit agency that provides services to the elderly, people with disabilities and those at risk, began renovations on its new headquarters March 1.

Project Amistad bought the old Anamarc building at 3210 Dyer for $2 million and expects renovations to cost $3 million. When completed late this summer or in early fall, all agency operations and its 168 employees will move into the new location.

Xavier Bañales, Amistad CEO, said the move bring a renewal to North-Central El Paso.
