Helen of Troy, one of two publicly traded companies headquartered in El Paso, recently hosted UTEP business students at its factory in Shenzhen, China.

The visit to the facility, called Chuco International Co., included a two-hour factory tour followed by a traditional dim sum lunch.

“The college’s goal is to have every upper-level business student participate in a global business course that adds experiential and professional development dimensions to our traditional academic content at locations across the globe,” said Robert Nachtmann, dean of the College of Business Administration.

Founded as an El Paso wig shop in 1968, Helen of Troy (NASDAQ: HELE) is now a $1.5-billion company that distributes and produces products under many familiar brands, including OXO, Hydro Flask and Vicks.
