More than 100 people attended the annual spring fundraiser of the El Paso Woman’s Club on March 23.

Held at the group’s historic clubhouse at 1400 N. Mesa, the event raises funds for various community projects.

It featured the theme, “Celebrating the Chinese New Year,” with performances by Eastwood Knolls International School students. Former El Paso newscaster Rick Cabrera served as the auctioneer.

The club, founded in 1894, works to improve El Paso and support an array of arts, health, education and community organizations. The clubhouse was built in 1916 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
