We like it like that!
The ever-evolving rapper Cardi B is headed to El Paso in May, while Nelly will headline an August concert with guests Flo Rida and TLC.
Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, the 26-year-old Cardi B will perform at the El Paso County Coliseum on May 21.
The singer, who took home the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, brings her hits “Bodak Yellow,” “Money,” “Be Careful” and numerous others to the borderland. Her song list includes collaborations on chart toppers such as “I Like it Like That” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, “Girls Like You” with Maroon 5, and “Finesse” and “Please Me” with Bruno Mars.
Cardi B was set to play at last year’s Neon Desert Music Festival in Downtown El Paso, but her pregnancy at the time led to her cancel her performance. Rapper Lil Wayne replaced her in the lineup to headline the festival.
Nelly, Flo Rida and TLC are set to hit the Don Haskins Center on Aug. 27 as part of a five-week summer tour.
Rapper Nelly will bring his chart toppers “Ride wit Me” and “Air Force Ones,” among others; while we can expect Flo Rida to perform “Low” and other hits.
TLC, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their hit album “Fan Mail,” will create a 1990s sing-along to songs such as “Creep,” “Waterfalls” and “Scrubs.”
Other recently announced concerts include Mexican crooner Luis Miguel on July 6, Mexican rock band Maná on Sept. 11 and reggaeton star Maluma on Sept. 22, all at the Don Haskins Center.
