Holocaust discussion

Choir auditions
Auditions for the El Paso Youth Choir will be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday and Sept. 12, 19 and 16 at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1000 Montana.
The choir is open to singers ages 8-18.
Practices are held 4:45-6:45 p.m. Tuesdays through May.

Farmers market
The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso’s farmers market ends Oct. 3.
Open 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sundays, it includes homegrown produce, arts and crafts, organic dog treats, soaps and salsa.
The mall is at the intersection of I-10 and Transmountain.
Art in the Park
The City of El Paso is looking for arts and crafts vendors for the upcoming Art in the Park event, to be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 18-19 at Memorial Park. Registration is $75 for a 10’x10’ space. After Sept. 1 the fee is $90. Admission is free.

Art exhibits
The exhibits “Contra Flujo: Independence and Revolution” and “Border 2010: Photographs by Alejandro Cartagena and David Rochkind” are on display at The Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts through Dec. 11. “Contra Flujo” features artists from Mexico City who use new media and launches the center’s contemporary exploration of the centennial of the Mexican Revolution and the bicentennial of Mexico’s independence.
“Border 2010: Photographs by Alejandro Cartagena and David Rochkind” features images of life along Mexico’s Northern border.
