Say Bowie Bakery and immediately we crave the traditional pan dulce. “We use the same recipes my grandfather did. Many employees have been with us for 30 years, and we treat everyone like family,” says Anabel Salazar, owner of the Lower Valley site that opened in 2002 and is the only one of three that makes fresh tortillas and a variety of tamales daily.
